Alex Neacșu

I’m Alex Neacșu, a chef born in Romania. I moved to Spain at 19 and trained as a cook in Barcelona, at the Hofmann school.

I started at the very bottom and worked my way up to head chef. Along the way I had the pleasure of cooking at Hofmann , Deliri, Hotel Alma 5* Gran Luxury, Casa Amàlia and with Goût Rouge: Caelis , Casa Tejada and Azul Rooftop.

I travel to eat.

I’ve eaten my way through England, Scotland, southern Europe, Qatar, Turkey, Greece and the Philippines. I’ve sat at polished tables, roadside stalls, family kitchens and places you’d never find on a “best of” list.

But Latin America stayed with me.

I have family in Colombia and Mexico, and the more time I spend there, the more convinced I am that the world has barely scratched the surface of what these countries have to offer.

No Reservations is a petit comité project: a small group, the right tables and everything I’ve learned on the other side of the pass. If somebody is going to take you to these restaurants, it should be me :)
